Cambodia Jiu-Jitsu Bags 21 Medals at Regional Championship

Phnom Penh, July 10, 2024 – Cambodia has secured a total of 21 medals (9 gold, 4 silver, and 8 bronze) at the Jiu-Jitsu Asian Union (JJAU) Regional Championship Southeast Asia in Bali, Indonesia.

The tournament, held late last week, attracted the participation of 258 athletes from six countries.

Thong Panhathun, Vice President of the Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Cambodia, praised the efforts of the Cambodian sports delegates, coaches, and athletes in achieving this success.

"We are proud of the Cambodian team for bringing home this success," said the vice president, adding that it reflects the athletes' hard work and the government's continuous support for Cambodian athletes in international competitions.

He expressed gratitude to CamEd Business School and CMAA Jiu-Jitsu Club for sending the athletes to the event, as well as other sponsors, including Naga Balm, Dai Ek, Alpha Fitness, and Kiri Jiu-Jitsu.
